FDF-15
Inception
The barrel and bolt carrier group (BCG) is the heartbeat of the gun, and is where the original focus of FDF-15 began. In developing FDF-15, we wanted the best specs possible. This led to the requirement for in-house manufacturing of components to maintain tolerances as tight as possible, creating an ultra-efficient rifle. These specs allow for continued hard use of the gun, long beyond other manufacturer's versions.
COMPONENTS
FDF-15 features industry leading components, such as Ned Christiansen's OCKS (optimized carrier key screw), and Sprinco extra-power action springs and extraction components, which are heat treated and cryogenic processed, resulting in superior reliability, and consistent operation of the rifle, well outside of ideal operating conditions.
BCG
The C158 bolts are high-pressure tested and magnetic-particle inspected. The 4340 CrMoV carriers are chrome-lined, and full-auto profile. The OCKS screws are interfaced with ball staking, creating a nearly permanent attachment that far exceeds the mil-spec standard set by the TDP (Technical Data Package). Built into the BCGs are a directionally marked cam pin, to aid in limiting undue wear on the bolt tail and cam pin. During maintenance and cleaning of the BCG, consistently placing the cam pin back in the same direction reduces the consumption of the two wear areas.
Barrel
The 5.56x45 NATO chambered barrels are 4150 CrMoV, chrome-lined, phosphate-coated, and optimally ported to run perfectly, whether suppressed or not. Polished feed ramps ensure that ammo feeds reliably.
BUFFER
Heavyweight buffers are used on all FDF-15 variants. This added weight to the cyclic mass helps keep the heart of the gun chugging. The end result is a reliable rifle that is also soft-shooting.

All FDF-15 rifles are available with the following options:

Standard or Ambidextrous controls

Smooth NP3 coated single-stage duty trigger, or two-stage trigger for a lighter, faster-shooting trigger.
Both triggers are spec'd with full-weight hammer springs for reliable function with all kinds of ammo.
